EXISTING IN FICTION began in the mid 90's on the south side of Lansing, Mi. A Tascam 4 track, condenser mic, and Boss Dr-5(nice little machine) is where the rabbit whole opened up. Many tracks were laid down there. People came through drinks, smokes, and rhymes(Oh the 90's were great). All walks of life would come through. Some grimy grimy dudes to dudes from the burbs, but all had a love for Hip-Hop.
So this was the breeding ground for the future sounds of EXISTING IN FICTION. Soon life intervened and the creativity came to a stand still in the early 00's.
Fast forward ten years and you will find Quartez carrying on the tradition through EXISTING IN FICTION PRODUCTIONS. Same drive and love for the art(minus the happy juice)and more focused. Quartez is bringing his spin on Hip-Hop through Sci-Hop(beats and rhymes heavily influenced by comics and Sci-Fi). EXISTING IN FICTION is currently producing Sci-Hop, but not limited to only this. If the art is unique EXISTING IN FICTION is interested. The mainstream media promoted on radio and TV has its place, but when your ready to unplug and take a break come EXIST IN FICTION.
